Subject: Town Hall for Hope - First Friday - Service Opportunity

Hey Everybody,

I wanted to let you know about three great things that are going on at Central that you can be part of and even bring a friend.  Find out more details below about Town Hall for Hope, May First Friday and Service Opportunity.

Reminder - Town Hall for Hope Thursday Night
Central is serving a host location for Dave Ramsey's TOWN HALL FOR HOPE.
On Thursday, April 23 at 8:00 p.m., Dave Ramsey will host a national "town hall" live via webcast to discuss the current economic crisis and take questions for participants.
For more information, check out www.townhallforhope.com <http://www.townhallforhope.com/>  and www.daveramsey.com <http://www.daveramsey.com/> .

First Friday, May 1st 8pm
First Friday is back and we are getting together on May 1st at 8pm at Sam and Sara Beth Shoff's house, 621 Lavenham Ct, Timonium, MD 21093.  Please come for food, fellowship and a chance to meet other young adults!

Service Opportunity from the Deacons (Luci Davis)
I'm writing to you on behalf of the deacons to see if any of you can help out with this situation. We have a single mother in the congregation who would like to attend the 11:30am worship service, but needs someone to watch/help out with her special needs child during the service. Norlan has CP and uses a walker to get around. He can understand people but can't speak. I believe he is about 8 years old, but interacting/playing with him is more on a pre-school level. It is difficult for him to participate in the children's programming at
11:30 or for him to sit through the service. So the request is that someone would take him during most of the service and play with him, etc. somewhere in the building (I think there might be a children's
classroom that could be available and maybe access to the playground-- we could also work on seeing if he could be involved in the children's programming in some way, but he would need an assistant dedicated to
watching and helping him out). We would like to have several people volunteer so that each person could take one Sunday every month or two. Dawn is also interested in Norlan having more male interaction in his life so it would be great if there are some guys who could step forward to volunteer for this. But we'd love to have a variety of folks involved, so couples and women feel free to volunteer as well!

If this is something that you could assist with, please e-mail/contact Luci Davis lucindaeda...@hotmail.com <mailto:lucindaeda...@hotmail.com>  or 410-889-1963
