I am currently evaluating this software and have a problem with the
date format when exporting from database. I am using Excel as the
database. I have formatted the cell in Excel as dd-mm-yyyy. I have
used the JavaScript format AFDate_FormatEx("mm/dd/yyyy"); in the text
box on the Word template. When I complete the export the date appears
OK but it has the time attached to it as well e.g.1/01/2009 12:00:00
AM. I do not want the time to appear. Any thoughts?

Thanks for evaluating our software. Could you please send both Word and Excel document for us to troubleshooting?

If you are not comfortable to post them in this public forum, you send email to sup...@lystech.com

Thanks.

Thanks for sending the files to us.

Let me use the field "48date" as an example to explain why the date is not
displayed as you expected. Although Excel displays its date as 1/1/2009,
Excel actually internally stores the data in some other format. When CenoPDF
asks for the data, Excel uses text format "1/01/2009 12:00:00 AM" to send
the data back to CenoPDF.

The way to make this work is in Excel you change the data type to Text and
type "1/1/2009". This way even Excel displays it as date, it is still
treated as plain text. Therefore CenoPDF will receive "1/1/2009" and display
it correctly.

Thanks,

You are welcome. We have not thought about including images. But thanks for
the good idea and we will put it into our future enhancement. I am sorry
that I am not able to give you a timeframe.

Thanks,
