Hello, fellow Cell-lovers

Just wanted to let the group know about Artoo, which is a new Ruby framework for robotics ad physical computing. It is based on Celluloid, Celluloid::IO, and Reel, and allows for multiple simultaneous hardware devices to be integrated together and coordinated. We already have support for Arduino (via the Firmata protocol), ARDrone 2.0, and Sphero, with more to come.

Please check out at http://artoo.io and also the repo at https://github.com/hybridgroup/artoo

We'd love feedback from this group which knows so much about Celluloid and concurrency.

Thanks!

Ron

This is awesome! I've really wanted a celluloid based physical computing framework and it sounds like you've gotten it pretty mature. I can't wait to try it out. Thanks so much!

Awesome, was checking this out a few days ago after seeing Corey
Haines mention it. I had no idea it was built with Celluloid! Keep up
the good work ;)

Ditto.  This is awesome.  I haven't used it yet, but we've built lots of little toy robotics things (I wrote a chapter for apress Arduino Robotics, and I work with the author).  Plan to build things with it shortly.
