Hi,

> Can celery be set up to use amazon sqs as the message broker?

You'd just need to write a new backend, perhaps using something like
boto. To mimic the behaviour of celery, you'd probably also want to
throw SNS into the mix. I've been thinking of doing this myself for a
while now - and recent developments at work may have just necessitated
it. Stay tuned.

Cheers,
Reza

Reza,

That sounds great. I would be happy to help test. I am not very
familiar with celery and am researching the best way to handle some
background processing for an app running in the aws cloud, so I do not
know if I would be much help other than from the testing side until I
get some practice with celery.

Thanks for the good news. It sounds like celery will be my best
choice.
