I'm still having profound problems deleting certain tiddlers from my
CCTW. It seems to result from "contaminating" them by tags such as
"systemConfig" (and probably others) or by clicking "permaview", or at
least these seem to be the actions I can remember having performed
last prior to noticing the effect.

Sometimes, I can rename an offending tiddlers and kill another with
the same name, although this is not always the case.

Sometimes I can tag them with "excludeLists" and at least not have to
look at them, but, again, often this doesn't work. They pop up in the
sidebar the moment I hit the logout button. If I simply quit the
browser, they are there when I return.

When I delete them from edit mode, everything looks fine until I
logout, when they instantly reappear. I have even had a simple "New
Tiddler" become permanent -- I have no idea what I did to trigger its
immortality, but I can't change its name, hide it or delete it in a
permanent fashion.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Cheers,

Eric.

I've had the same problem with all versions of 1.8.x but in my case,
it's all tiddlers, no matter whether they're tagged or not. I can
only suggest using phpmyadmin to delete them.

Kofoid,

Please run a search on the group messages for "deleteTiddlerHosted",
you'd find an old discussion about such case.
In short - need to confirm your "delete" lablel actually calls the
"deleteTiddlerHosted" macro, and not "deleteTiddler" default one.

(Again - for some like like for Kashgarinn, it didn't yield any
results).

Hi, Joe,

I had already done that -- my "delete" tab is connected to
"deleteTiddlerHosted". It helped, but there are still several tiddlers
which don't go away.

Cheers,

Eric.
