CCIFD HALLOWEEN PARTY
All NOIF Dancers are invited to the CCIF Dancers’ pot-luck Halloween Party,
Thursday Night October 29. It is located in west Metairie, corner of Fairfield
St & Kent Ave<http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&q=fairfield+and+kent,+metairie&hq...>,7:30
to 10pm. Admission will be free.
CCIFD has 14-20 dancers most Thursday nights. Lately, we have had more men
than women; when we do couple dances, 2 to 4 men become wall flowers. They
will be glad to see NOIFD, which has had twice as many women as men. Many of
the couple dances are easy mixers, like La Bastringue and Ve David.
Experienced dancers can lead beginners through many of the couple dances.
And you will get to see a perhaps a dozen of the CCID advanced dances.

NOIFD DANCING TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED
We have no dance sessions scheduled for Halloween or for the near future.
The management at First Presbyterian is anxious for us to return. But I do
not have a computer I can leave with the group when I have to be elsewhere.
Once we get a computer for the group, we will need one or two more
programmers to play the music, so I can take off now and then. We
can’t advertise sessions that won’t happen if I am not available. The main
requirement is the ability to run iTunes, our juke-box program. The teacher
and members can select from our repertoire of 35+ dances!
