Tenure Review and the Academic Senate

Thank you, Everyone, for your excellent replies. This has been an
enlightening and lively discussion.

Although Feather River has gotten along quite well for many years with
a union contract that includes the Academic Senate in the tenure
process (note that the Senate and the Union memberships are identical
at our institution), I think we will closely reexamine and redesign
the tenure process during our current contract negotiations. Your
thoughts will certainly inform that new process.

One question regarding the CCCSenates forums. I noticed that the
subject of the initial thread got changed on the front page to
"Joining this group". How did that happen? Doesn't that make things
a little confusing?

Tom, 

Somehow the two threads got intermingled on the Google site.  If you signed up to receive an e-mailed digest of the discussions, that might be messed up as well. You might want to change your preferences so that you get each message as a separate e-mail.

 

The problem might be the result of someone hitting their "reply" button and then changing the subject line, but I'm not sure.
