NEW ART 2007 ­ Call for Artwork for a Juried Art Show
St. Charles, IL (June 16, 2007)

The Orleans Street Gallery in St. Charles, IL announces a call for artwork
(painting, sculpture, photography, small scale installation art, video and
performance art) for a juried exhibition. Best in Show winner will be
awarded a solo-exhibition at the Orleans Street Gallery in 2008. Orleans
Street Gallery is privileged to welcome artist, educator and curator Adam
Brooks to jury this exhibition.

Adam Brooks is an artist, curator and educator currently living in Chicago.
In collaboration with Mathew Wilson, Brooks founded Industry of the Ordinary
in 2003. Together they actively create sculpture, text, photography, video,
sound and performance art, inspired by the ordinary. Brooks¹ work can be
found in several collections, among them the Art Institute of Chicago,
Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Contemporary Photography. Adam
is a full-time faculty member and the Fine Art Coordinator at Columbia
College Chicago and the former Curator of Refco Ltd.¹s Corporate Art
Collection.

Accomplished and emerging artists from the Chicagoland area are invited to
obtain a prospectus and submit. All media are welcome with no limitation to
technique or subject matter. Artwork should be of some thematic body of work
that can support a solo exhibition if selected as the winner. A prospectus
can be obtained either via download from the gallery website at

a...@orleansstreetgallery.com. The deadline for submission is September 1,
2007. There is a $20 jury fee. The Orleans Street Gallery staff will be
available for questions from interested artists during regular gallery
hours.

The NEW ART 2007 exhibition will be held from November 17, 2007 ­ January
12, 2008, with and opening reception on Saturday, November 17, from 6 until
9 pm.  The Best in Show and solo-exhibition winner will be announced at the
opening. Orleans Street Gallery is located in the Bourbon Street section of
Pheasant Run Resort, 4051 East Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174.  For more
