I hope this hasn't been asked too many times, I can't seem to find
much about this. Maybe someone can point me to an answer.

I've created a workspace at http://wiki.osmosoft.com/alpha and I
wonder if there is an easy way of installing an existing TiddlyWiki or
importing from an existing one.

Hi Morris,

You will need to upload the file onto the server before you can import it.

There is an upload option linked from the right hand sidebar. When you
have uploaded the file you should be able to import from its URL.
backstage (top right) > Import

The user experience is not great at the moment. We plan to improve it
but suggestions are welcome.

Please let me know if you get it working.

Thanks

Simon

Hi Simon,

My experiments never work first time. That's why I'm so valuable as a
tester, everything that can go wrong always does before anything
resembling success appears :-)

1: I set up a new workspace. http://wiki.osmosoft.com/alpha/sidesnips/
2: Used the 'upload' to upload a fully formed TiddlyWiki (about 800k
Ver. 2.4)
3: It seemed to take about the right amount of delay as if it was
uploading before it reported back "There were some errors!"
4: I tried again to make sure, then ignoring the error message I
pasted the assumed URL into "Enter the URL or pathname here" which was
the user space plus the name of the file http://wiki.osmosoft.com/alpha/sidesnips/sidesnips-try.html
(also tried http://wiki.osmosoft.com/alpha/sidesnips-try.html and a
few other combinations)
5: There was an instant response "A script from "http://
wiki.osmosoft.com" was denied UniversalBrowserRead privileges."

Does something need to be enabled to upload?

Morris

Ah, we moved to a different hard drive on the server a-few weeks back.
I thought everything had gone smoothly but from a quick look it
appears that the upload folder was not moved across correctly.

I will fix tomorrow and post a message of my progress.

Sorry for any inconvenience/confusion.

at the moment, even when the import is working it displays the error :

"A script from "http://wiki.osmosoft.com" was denied
UniversalBrowserRead privileges."

The whole import area needs quite a bit of work. I should have some
small improvements in the next release.
