Aijaz Ansari - Tips on creating an iOS client of a RESTful Web Service
Aijaz has recently been working on creating a RESTful web service client on iOS and will talk about his efforts.
Bob Frank - Writing Maintainable Objective-C (well any) Code
I'll talk about some good tips for writing maintainable code specifically focused on ObjectiveC, but can apply to many languages.
OT: The other night I was just watching a rerun of Who's Line is it Anyways and they did that bit with a late night infomercial style album descriptions, and if this talk were described as an album it would be:
Although this album is an oldie, its a goodie. I get nostalgic just thinking about the classics, does everyone remember the classic "here's a nickel, get yourself a better computer". Tomorrow, I'll play some of personal favorites include "Name Things Well and Call Them What They Are" and the ever popular "Don't Get Too Clever", and if you don't listen, perhaps you'll be hearing the saddest track ever: "In 6 months you'll have to maintain this code."
(I realize its probable that this was funnier in my head than it might be in email ... oh well :-)
