Seconded, definitely more support for Gtk+2 is needed, it is a much
more stable and well-tested platform for cross-platform GUI
applications than wxWidgets (not to mention more featureful,
last I checked wx lacks support for a number of features
required to write proper asynchronous, event-driven

Hi
i suggest for a future version of cava packager a support for making
exe's from camelbox perl code which contains a gtk2 perl code, i have
tried a trial version from activestate pdk and it is working properly
as reported here:[link]

Errors running resulting .exe file?

Hi,

I am very new to both Perl and this group so i may be making some
really silly mistakes here, please bare with me.

I installed Cava tonight to change my .pl file into an .exe

I know that the file itself works fine as when i run it using the
command prompt (ie "perl myfile.pl") it runs perfectly.

I ended up just using SimpleLayout when running as a Cava app, that works
ok, but it might not suit your requirements.

Runtime Package Error running Cava compiled Tk gui app

Doesn't look like much reader action here but I figured I'd post this
anyway.

Trying to compile a Perl (ActiveState) 5.8.8 Tk gui application with
Cava ver. 1.3.31.696. It compiles without error but when I click the
Cava button to run the app it returns immediately with the following
popup error:

Hi,

I'm just having my first attempt at packaging our wxPerl application
using Cava. Haven't done anything other than:
add script
add executable
add 3 local Perl Library directories for our modules

I then scan the script & build.

After build, I choose to run the application and I get an error :

Hi,

Some of the 'implicit' modules are bundled as part of the executable -
so they will not appear in the archive.
Do you see any errors when running the executable ?

simple simple script.

After I did a build here is the log:

Little Questions about Resources Dir and flashing Dosbox

Hi,

i tested the Cava Packager for my great Perl/Tk Projekt and have any
questions.

1. When i start the Application or call system/exec there flash an
Dosbox for any milliseconds. Is there a way to stop this? Or is this a
little bug?

2. For the executable i use the option "Executable Location:

Signed up to say thanks for Cava Packager.

I cobbled together a little Perl script to update a MLB hobby site. A
simple thing. It goes to ESPN grabs the current days games adds
a UTC and CET start time then prints from a template to a file
that is then ready to copy and paste to a V bulletin board.

Okie Dokie. . . figured it out. Setting the resource outside of BEGIN
didn't work. This works:

use Cava::Pack;

BEGIN {
