Please pray for Dietrich and Sophie Neumann and their parents.  They were taken by C-section yesterday and their lungs aren't quite up to the task.  Their mom, Halcyon, is still recovering from the surgery and her twins are now 2 hours away at a different hospital.  Please pray for a complete recovery for them all, and peace as they endure this most difficult ordeal.  You may email Bonnie at bonni...@centurytel.net with your words of prayer and hope, and she will relay them.
Through Him, With Him, in Him,
Sue

Dear friends and family, I realize some of you haven't heard so I'll start at the beginning.  Halcyon went into labor yesterday, 5 weeks early, and long story short is that the twins had to be taken by C-section.  They each weigh about 6 1/2 pounds, a very respectable weight.  It's just that their little lungs are not mature enough yet.  Sophie is pretty gurgley, with some fluid around her lungs, and about 1/4 of one of Deet's lungs was collapsed.   They both have cpap tubes, just to keep gentle pressure to keep the lungs inflated properly, and both have various tubes protruding, of course.

The really painful thing about this is that they were delivered in Stephenville, where Halcyon still is, recovering from the surgery, but they took the twins to Cooks' Childrens Ft. Worth last night, about two hours away.   It is breaking Halcy's heart that she hasn't even gotten to hold her babies--in fact, just saw them very briefly.  They're saying they'll release Halcyon tomorrow evening, Wednesday, but the twins are having to fight so hard that even when their lungs mature, they still will need to stay in hospital a week or so to recuperate from the struggle.

While there are things about this that we wish were different, we are very thankful to God for His loving care in their safe delivery, in caring medical personnel, in loving family and friends who help and pray.

love to you all, Suzanne/Mum/grandmother, who is now getting ready to take the twins' big sisters, Zoe, 2, and Gabby, 3 1/2, to see their mama.  Erich is gone to Ft. Worth to be with the twins for a few hours.
