Patrick,

Would you be so kind as to update the build machine to the version of Mono that supports DateTimeOffset?

Hi Richard,

mono 2.6 is still only a preview release atm, release scheduled for
Dec. So I don't wanna replace 2.4 just yet!

I can set up a parallel environment with Mono 2.6 and script it to
update from the branch regularly. Also it would be useful for testing
Mono/DP issues if we can get fixes in Mono 2.6. Krzysztof and I are
trying to make headway with this atm.

We could use a define MONO26 or similar to keep everything green in TC

Cheers P

I'm going to have to move the build agent to another vps, please can
someone with high enough TC access auth my new agent (Called Ubuntu
9.10).

I have stock 2.4.2.3 and 2.6 branch in a parallel environment all
ready to go :)

Cheers P

Richard,

Can you create separate build configurations for both current mono 2.4
and the 2.6 preview?

also I noticed recently Mono build stopped running DP tests. Can someone
fix this?

Thanks Richard

I've added a mono-2.6 configuration to Core, this can be easily copied
as project managers see fit or just ask I don't mind doing it :)
http://www.castleproject.org:8090/project.html?projectId=project10

I wonder if perhaps we should name the build configurations like this
instead...
Trunk - CLI 3.5 - Release - Mono 2.6
Trunk - CLI 2.0 - Debug - .Net
...otherwise it looks a bit confusing...
Trunk - Mono 3.5 - Release - Mono 2.6

Also I'd prefer if we could use my svn mirror for my agents.
http://mirror.qmtech.net/svn/svn.castleproject.org/
It's configured at the bottom of this page
http://www.castleproject.org:8090/admin/vcsRootsGlobal.html
I don't think I have access to make it "shared among all of the
projects"

@Krzysztof I can't see any obvious reason why it's doing this, I'll
keep looking...

I have changed the UK mirror to be shared by all projects.

I agree that we should change the naming of projects. I think debug/release should go at the end because with some we were running both debug and release in the same configuration. I don't know if CLI is the best name but I do like the idea and agree that Mono 3.5 is confusing.

I can see that the non-running tests is not just an issue with Mono
agent
Core tests for .NET 2.0 are not ran as well.
Can anyone look into this please?

Thanks :)

I've picked up the CLI term from the debian-cli team, which ironically
used to to be debian-mono. I know it's not commonly used but it's the
most accurate and neutral term...

Out of interest... (taken from the debian cli policy)

CLI - Common Language Infrastructure
This is what most people mean when they say ".NET". The CLI defines
mainly the virtual machine, the bytecode and how everything works
together. It is both an ISO and ECMA standard.

Now that mono 2.6 is officially released, should we drop 2.4?

I think we should use 2.6 on the build server.

I have updated 2.6 to official release, however 2.4.2.3 is still
installed and used by default. We can copy this for mono 2.6...
