Hello all

i did modify the omnetpp.ini file to the connectivity Map app. so that

SN.field_x = 1 # meters
SN.field_y = 1 # meters

# Specifying number of nodes and their deployment
SN.numNodes = 5
SN.deployment = "[1..4]->uniform"

and i assumed that in 1 by 1 meter all the 5 nodes will be connected
but the result don't show that, i executed with different TX power
levels from -25dBm to 0dBm but connectivity still the same.

First Question:
shouldn't the connectivity change if i change transmission power or
the area?

Second Question , i am trying to implement HEED routing protocol, and
it needs neighbor discovery and i don't know if i should do it in the
application module or in the routing module? i know that both can work
but which approach is logically more correct?

Thanks

Yes it should change. The manual even suggests such an experiment with connectivityMap to see how connectivity changes with Txpower

If you are implementing a routing protocol and part of it, is function/operation X (in your case neighbor discovery), where do you think this function/operation should be?
I cannot see how the answer can be something different than "in the routing layer"
