hello everybody
if in a simulation of five nodes i want to disable the transmit mode
of node with id 2,how can i do it.
i tried by maintaining the send timer with very high value(larger than
sim time) of node 2 in startup method in application layer,but it is
still transmitting..

you have to be more specific than this. What app are you using for example?
If it is your own app then just don't send a packet, simple as that. You are controlling the code.
If you are using throughputTest, just set the packet rate to 0.
