1) Iqama times for August 1st-15th:

2) 15th Shabaan is Shab-e-Baraat
The night of Nifs-Shabaan (15th) is Saturday, August 16th, 2008.  We
plan Nafil Ibadath during this blessed night.   Download Recommeded
Shabaan Ibadaath from our website.

Based on the start of Shabaan being Sunday August 3rd, the 15th is the
night between Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th. It is a bleessed night
for Nafl Ibadah and asking forgiveness on one’s sins and seeking good
health and prosperity in the year that follows.

At Cary Masjid we will start the Ibadah following the Maghrib prayers
and will do Salat Tasbeeh, Zikr, Tilawat Quran, and Qiyamul Lail –
ending with Sahri for the next day’s fast.

recommended Ibadath, acts of worship, you can view the document
specified above.

3) Qibla Determination & 1st Prayer then BBQ at New Cary Masjid
So mark your calendar for August 23 for Qibla determination at the new
Masjid site. We will formally establish the Qiblah direction, with
Shariah basis and with scientific tools followed by the first ever
prayers on that ground.

We will also have a barbecue at the site.

It is a historic occasion – please join us and also invite your

4) Reading of Quran for the late Brother Hamdoon
In memory of Br. Hamdoon who passed away three weeks ago, we will hold
a Quran recitation [Quran-Khaani] on Saturday, Augusts 23 at 11:30 am
ending by Dhur prayers. It will be at the Cary Masjid and everyone is
welcome to come.  Please join us and also let your friends know about
this event.
