2)  After Maghrib today, Mualana Asif Qasmi will be inaugurating his 6
volume tafseer of the Quran-e-Kareem.  We are very pleased to welcome
Maulana Asif Qasmi as a guest speaker this weekend. He is a scholar of
high esteem, Ameer of Jamia Islamia, Mississauga Canada, and Masjid
Farooq Azam in Karachi Pakistan. He is a great speaker and a prolific
writer.

Recently he finished his work on writing Tafseer of Quran (6 volumes)
in Urdu. After Maghrib tonight, Friday August 22nd, he will inaugurate
the Quran Tafseer he has finished recently and will lecture on the
blessings of Quran and uniqueness of this Tafseer. Please join us.

3) In memory of Br. Hamdoon who passed away three weeks ago, we will
hold a Quran recitation on Saturday, Augusts 23 at 11:30 am ending by
Dhur prayers. It will be at the Cary Masjid and everyone is welcome to
come.  Please join us and also let your friends know about this event.

4) New Cary Masjid:  Qibla determination ceremony, 1st Prayer,
followed by a community BBQ will take place on Saturday, August 23 at
4:30 pm at the site of the new masjid. Details

Join us at this blessed beginning.

So mark your calendar for August 23 for Qibla determination at the new
Masjid site. We will formally establish the Qiblah direction, with
Shariah basis and with scientific tools followed by the first ever
prayers on that ground.

We will also have a barbecue at the site.

It is a historic occasion – please join us and also invite your

LOCATION:
The location of the new masjid is across the street diagnally from the
current masjid.  So please arrive at the current masjid, park your
cars in the current masjid parking lot, and by foot cross Chatham to
the side where the church is but on the other side of Trimble.  You'll
see a clearing before the Railroad track bridge.

BE CAREFUL WHEN CROSSING THE ROAD.

5) Sunday School starts THIS SUNDAY at 9:45 but the bookstore will
open at 9:30am.  Children are dismissed only after Zuhr (~1:45pm).
