issue with geometry.js

Hi,

I am having the issue where my geometry.js?body=1 fails to load. It had been loading ealier but stopped loading. This has resulted also into having a situation where the tiles do not load because the sql is marked as undefined. Any pointers to solving this?

Could you give us more context? are you using your custom cartodb install?

Could you please write the steps to reproduce it? the data you imported, what actions you did, where you get that error?

So i have three browsers. One is chrome another is chromium and another firefox. This seems to be a browser issue. I shared my embed map using url to some of my friends. This results in different views. The tiles do not load for certain browsers an in those cases the javascript console returns.

Failed to load resource http://localhost/assets/cdb/src/geo/geometry.js?body=1

1. Uncaught ReferenceError: GeometryView is not defined /assets/cdb/src/geo/leaflet/leaflet.geometry.js?body=1:138

1. Uncaught ReferenceError: GeometryView is not defined /assets/cdb/src/geo/gmaps/gmaps.geometry.js?body=1:61

1. Uncaught TypeError: undefined is not a function /assets/cdb/src/geo/map.js?body=1:211
   
   

This results is common in chrome. When i click on the http://localhost/assets/cdb/src/geo/geometry.js?body=1, the keep getting the webpage is not available. Though on firefox and chromium it works well. the other buggy functionality is when one shares with facebook the embed map, then head to facebook and click on the posted link, the tiles fail to load.

what url are you sharing? the embed map uses cartodb.js stored in our cdn so should not be loading any javascript from the rails app

Yea, so i am using the development version. Strangely when i load the cartodb.js stored in your cdn, i still get the same error but now on all browsers. The tiles fail to load on all browsers.

i can't reproduce it probably is something related to development configuration.

what repository and branch are you using? did you fetch/update the submodules?

Yea i did and they all sync. yeah, the problem is the url, for some reason you the param sql is not well formated, should be something like

sql=select * from table

or

sql=

looks like different browsers get that param in different way

try this url

For chrome, i get the following on the javascript console,
