Logging to development.log

Love Carrierwave, but one thing I miss is logging info in the
development.log. It would be helpful for debugging to know a few
items:
1. Uploaded file is being stored using a particular Storage object.
2. Path to the stored filed.
3. Any processing that is performed.
4. Any versions that are created.
5. And the success or failure of any of the above.
Poured through the docs and wiki and saw nothing concerning logging.
Or, am I completely missing something?

Would also be helpful to be able to see when versions are removed
