Hello,
I just wanted to give you an update on CarrierClass.net.
The current 2.0 beta code is available on the CarrierClass.net website
at http://carrierclass.net/2.0beta/ along with some very terse
documentation on how to install on a Debian system. Testing by a
couple people brought some bug reports (and fixes!) -- if you
downloaded the code in the past, you should upgrade to the latest
release.
New in the 2.0 branch: limited support for interfacing with the Level3
SIP NNI (CarrierClass.net is still missing a real SIP NNI, this is now
planned. Note that SIP UNIs for Gafachi and CBeyond have been present
for some time.)
Since the split of the 2.0beta branch, a lot of changes have happened
on the trunk (which will eventually become the 2.1 release). Although
it will be a few more weeks before this is usable, you can get an idea
of the extent of the rework in the new code, posted at
http://carrierclass.net/trunk/
I think the most interesting change will be the inclusion of a
web-based GUI for configuration. You can preview it in the sandbox at
http://webui.carrierclass.net/ -- use one of the "test1", "test2" or
"test3" logins (password: ccntest) to create an account for yourself
in The Root Group, logout, login with your new account, then browse
the different menus.
Feedback and bug reports on any of these are more than welcome --
simply send me an email with details off-list.
I am currently looking for a business partner so that we can
eventually present the project for further funding; I think that
people who have shown a strong interest in the project would like to
see more long-term sustainability, and I'm working toward that. Send
me an email off-list if you have suggestions or input on the process,
I'll appreciate it!
Thank you for your continued interest in CarrierClass.net. Sincerely,
Stéphane Alnet
