Subject: CarrierClass.net 2.0 beta 5 released; news on 2.1 development
Hello,

Tonight I released CarrierClass.net 2.0 beta 5; the new release is
available on SourceForge [1].
The main change is the move from SER to OpenSER; since OpenSER 1.1.0
is now supported on the Debian "testing" ("etch") distribution, I also
retired the "ser+usrloc-cl" package that was previously posted on
SourceForge (the move to OpenSER makes this package unnecessary).
This new beta release should be used in conjunction with the updated
instructions [2].

Development continues on the next release; the latest code for version
2.1 is available via SVN on Google Code [3]. I had previously sent
links to a demo of the web interface and to the distribution
framework; the back-end migration was the big missing piece. I'm happy
to report that the migration of the back-end is mostly finished, which
means the project is on schedule. Although there is still a lot of
work ahead to generate a complete system, all the major components
(back-end, web interface, distribution framework) are already present.

Thank you for your support of CarrierClass.net; please send me an
email if you have any questions. Sincerely,
Stéphane Alnet
