See the Call for Artists here. Are you a woodworker or an artist that works with reclaimed or salvaged wood materials?  Do you know anyone who fits that description? The 2012 Call for Artists to show their work at Tree Pittsburgh's 5th annual fundraiser, Arbor Aid, is now posted!   Arbor Aid plays an important role in sustaining Tree Pittsburgh and achieving our mission. Building off of the success of the last four events, we believe that promoting the reuse of urban wood waste creates greater public awareness about the value of trees and the benefits of utilizing locally procured wood. The event has attracted nearly 2,000 people since its inception in 2008 and grossed nearly $75,000 to support Tree Pittsburgh's programs.  Learn more about this event here.     Water Your Trees! It is going to be hot this weekend, and Pittsburgh's last observed rainfall was less than half an inch on May 13th.  Give your trees a nice drink now (and anytime it is this dry) to enjoy shade all summer!
