I have recently heard about and then seen a Husky (dog) that was off leash in Carrick.
I first saw it last Thursday night when i was out for a run with my own dog (also a Husky) at the corner of Cherryhill and Leolyn. It was with another dog (a tall gangly, short-haired dog...maybe a great dane?), neither of which was on leash. They surrounded my dog and once we eventually started running again, the Husky bit my dog (drawing blood but nothing major).
I have also heard other stories about this dog but as they are second hand, i'll not repeat them here.
Does anyone know who this dog belongs to? It was rather heavy, so it doesn't look like a stray, but I also didn't see a collar on it or the other dog. I know that it's not the husky who lives on Transverse between the Boulevard and Birmingham as i saw that dog (on its lead) a few minutes before encountering these dogs.
Has anyone else seen this dog or know anything more about it?
Cheers, Tom Tarka

Hi, no I don't know who owns this husky and haven't seen it either..just reading your email made me think that I should post my MISSING CAT here also.
We live on Sunnyland Avenue, our FEMALE, GRAY TABBY, got out on SEPTEMBER 18, 2009 and we have not seen her since. SHE was DECLAWED and SPAYED, we had her since she was a kitten, SHE is now 6 YEARS OLD. She is an indoor cat and got out accidently. She has a WHITE MUSTACHE and WHITE WHISKERS, and splashes of BEIGE in her GRAY BODY with BLACK STRIPES. We miss her and have been looking for her daily. Any info would be appreciated....Thank you, JAN BOEHM.

Hi, no sighting on the dog but want to send a word of hope for the missing cat. I have two also fixed but my friend lost her 16yr old cat couple weeks back and buggy came home yesterday. Stay hopeful and goood luck. I will keep a look out.
