I just had a very exciting conversation with Tyler Holloway of Empire Zero Waste. Their company has been successfully doing composting with the food waste from several local colleges and three local hospitals for about a year now. On Monday, this tractor plowed over the unauthorized farm.
A guerrilla veggie-growing occupation of university-owned land in Albany, Calif., was busted by cops early Monday and thousands of zucchini, kale, squash, and other newly planted seedlings were plowed over.
