I have to balance public access with my personal preference. As a ranger
with NM State Parks I serve the community.

People did hike a bit to reach my site at. Bluewater Lake State Park for
the annular eclipse, but it was pretty short and a discrete moment in time
compared to the distance required for Cerrillos and the hours that we can
observe the transit.

So a public event at a state park causes me to accept some limitations.

Otherwise, I would host the event at the Mirador overlook in Cerrillos
Hills State Park.
