  I think there is enough knowledge scattered over the net. A Knol &lt;br&gt; would probably not ad much more value than a handful of blog entries. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;The biggest drawback of open source is usually docs, so it is kinda &lt;br&gt; weird not to have a way to contribute to the official docs. Even just &lt;br&gt; checking the static html website into git would help.

  Thanks for the response, Jamis. The initial reason I was using run &lt;br&gt; rather than put was so that I could apply a patch and specify it in- &lt;br&gt; line. It seems like the smartest way for me to go is to put the patch, &lt;br&gt; and then apply it as part of the same transaction. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Cheers, &lt;br&gt; Jason
