Problems deploying on a Mac OS X Leopard server

Hi, I'm new to rails and capistrano, but I've been following this
tutorial from Apple step by step and I'm stuck on the Capistrano side
of things.

= Introduction

Capistrano-S3 is a capistrano deployment strategy that will:

Howdy,

I'm new to capistrano and rails in general. I'm trying to deploy to a
Debian Linux 4.0 system.

When I run cap deploy setup I get this error. I'm not sure if my
deploy.rb file has been created correctly. I found a post to check if
I'm connecting to the correct port. Is there a setting where I need

I think there is enough knowledge scattered over the net. A Knol
would probably not ad much more value than a handful of blog entries.

The biggest drawback of open source is usually docs, so it is kinda
weird not to have a way to contribute to the official docs. Even just
checking the static html website into git would help.

If you can login as another_user, than you can try the method I posted
about here: [link]

It lets you do:

with_user("another_user", "another_pass") do
run "some command"
end

It works by closing your connections and reconnecting, so that may not

sudo su - another_user right after connection

How to hack capistrano, so it will:

- log in as user_1

- do "sudo su - another_user"

- do all other commands instead of hanging up?

I suppose it blocks because su changes tty.

Google's Knol launched today. Anyone want to collaborate towards a Knol
entry on Capistrano?
I think the prospect of ad revenue might be enough of a carrot to make me
actually follow through on this...

Thanks for the response, Jamis. The initial reason I was using run
rather than put was so that I could apply a patch and specify it in-
line. It seems like the smartest way for me to go is to put the patch,
and then apply it as part of the same transaction.
