That bit about the 1911 Norinco having all the colt production
machines was probably true, but some broke down and nobody repaired tem so
they improvised by selling recycled/chromed barrels which still chamber .45
acp FMJ, but loose that effectiveness as well their inaccuracy because of
the gas cutouts in the now oversized barrels...when the chrome wears out...
Most ppl here get a 1911 norinco for the receiver, and immediately
trash the barrel, since they only last about 5,000 rounds before they act
like smoothbores and the edges get all rounded off....
I heard from the Chinese the 1911 Norinco Combat/Commander 4.25"
barrelling Chongqing with the red extractor is their best, I'd hate to see
their worse.
Everybody knows the 1911 Norinco Combat/Commander is forged metal
and not cast as in the "colt" system.....but the price is in the right ball
park, and if you want to compare metals, alloys, compare it to all the Glock
type Polymers, and you get a pretty good comparison.
