I just stumbled on www.impmarine.com

I never heard of them before, but they have an awesome e-store and
they are in Canada. I just ordered a Smoker to smoke your own baccon.
They also have marine plywood and oakum which is hard to find online.

I've dealt with IMP (Industrial Marine Products) for over 25 years in the
Halifax/Dartmouth area with no problems. I see they've merged with LECKIES
in Halifax and Leckies always had quality stuff although their prices were
slightly higher than elsewhere. IMP is a HUGE company with many Divisions so
you'd be dealing with a reputable outfit.
(I have no other connection with the company)

They have been in business for quite a few years and have store in Nova
Scotia(Dartmouth) and New Brunswick, real good people to deal with and
prices well in line with U S counterparts, they deal a lot with the
commercial fishermen in the Maritimes, request their catalogue, awesome!

Personally, I prefer www.binnacle.com Canadian version. Located on the
other side of
Halifax from IMP marine. I have nothing against IMP they are a great
company....
I just find Binnacle better organized for my sailing needs.

Yes Jeffrey, Binnacle leans more towards Ragbaggers:) and I M P deals
mainly with fishermen, commercial and power boaters, and as in my case
firewood boats; two different companies, two different clienteles, both very
good and I would also include MMOS in Halifax along with them..

I found their navigation impossible so I tried the search tool for
"block" and "halyard" - no hits at all. This is not "awesome" but more
like another word that starts with "aw"
