Instead of making an issue where there is none, people should be applauding the Hungarians for their insistence on preserving the right to free speech and thought. If someone believes that the 'Holocaust' did not occur, the solution is to listen to his/her arguments and then refute them with evidence to the contrary; not impose criminal penalties. Only barbarians try to control information.
BUDAPEST (JTA) -- Hungary's lawmakers rejected constitutional amendments to make Holocaust denial a punishable offense.
Some local Jewish community leaders believe that Monday's vote secured the first parliamentary victory for Jobbik, a rapidly rising local neo-Nazi movement widely predicted to win several seats in the national elections due within a year.
The proposals, put forth by the ruling Socialist caretaker government, attracted fewer than half the votes needed to adopt a constitutional amendment.
The frequently populist, ultra-Conservative Fidesz opposition party rejected the proposals along with the neo-Liberal Free Democrats, the erstwhile coalition partners of the Socialists.
The Association of Hungarian Jewish Religious Communities, or Mazsihisz -- the country's largest Jewish organization -- has not issued an official comment. However, a commentary published on the Mazsihisz Web site by Tamas Palmai, an intellectual writing in his personal capacity, says many believe that Fidesz turned down the reforms for fear of provoking the wrath of Jobbik.
Holocaust denial is outlawed in many countries which, like Hungary, were occupied by the Nazis during World War II. The Hungarian government's attempt at introducing the legislation that failed was made in response to provocations by neo-Nazis at Buda Castle that marred the last Holocaust Remembrance Day.

I hate neo-nazi's but talking about abuse of the world's sympathies. The problem now is that instead of 10 Holocaust movies coming out of Hollywood, we are gonna get 100 holocaust movies !!

Telling lies is not a human right, telling lies with intent to incite hatred is a crime.
Personally I think laws that single out examples of hate crime are bad, because they are discriminatory, the only legitimate distinction is between accident and intent. A general law against hate crime would outlaw all forms of it, including calling abortion murder.
None of which alters the fact that you are whining about this issue because you're a Nazi scumbag.

And just this sort of refusal to actual confront/counter neo-Nazis will produce more of them.
But, do give us a count of these movies - I want to hear all 10 of them you saw this year.

I agree with you, but when one specific crime is prevalent, sometimes a specific law has to be enacted to combat it. I also do not want to pin counter-nazi legislation on anything to do with choice, because that will defeat it - they both being against the same sort of people :-)

How about the many millions of souls that were dispatched by the Jews themselves. The Bolshevik Revolution alone took out 55 million Russians and 8 million Ukrainians. Don't forget to add in the millions lost during the cold war that need not have been.. had not a Jew or tow stolen nuclear secrets an sold them to our enemies. Do remember that Communism is a Jewish construction. perhaps the fact that the largest genocide of Christians in the ME is by Jews using weapons and money furnished them by the Christian country of America. I wonder what the spirit of the Christian Czar of Russia would have to say about these murderous Jewish thugs that murdered his entire family execution style.

So tell it to your ZioNazi brethren in the media who do it continuously. Latest being the lies to incite hate against Iran. ZioNazis are always such projectionist hoots.

Would it also include--in your mind--hate crimes committed by Jews against non-Jews?

Doesn't matter. People who go to movies now forget what they watched within an hour of leaving the moronoplex.

You mean denying the so called "Holocaust" is a crime? In other word telling the truth is a crime? Hungarians hopefully will start a trend for the rest of Europe, that telling the truth is not a crime.

It was odd of God to choose the Jews, but not as odd as those who choose a Jewish God--and hate the Jews

WTF is a ZioNazi? Somebody who supports Israel's Amended Law of Return 1971? If so, I hate ZioNazis as much as you appear to. I'm not going to be labelled a Jew just because two of my grandparents were Jewish.

It would include any statement by anybody about anybody or anything else that was both untrue and incited violence or hatred. The example I gave was clear enough. Here's another one: Racism, which is based on assumptions that have been factually i.e. scientifically disproved, and which is designed to foster hatred against other human beings whose ancestral migration patterns happen to differ from one's own.

The term is rather self-descriptive. Think it over.

Very vague and nebulous concept. Let's say that I'm sitting in some public place--maybe in a park, restaurant, anyplace--and some imbalanced person overhears me referring to someone else as a jerk, dick, creep, whatever. Maybe I don't like his politics or something, or just don't like the way he looks or talks. Anyway, this person who overhears me is a ticking time bomb of sorts and doesn't like creeps, dicks, jerks himself, so he later decides to smash the guy I criticized in the head with a brick. In your jackassed view, I have committed a crime. It was the guy with the brick who committed the crime. I had no control or association with him at all.
But of course we both know that the ZioNazi view of a "hate crime" doesn't have such an unbiased quality to it, without regard to race, ethnicity, etc. So-called "hate crime" legislation was clearly a tool to use to silence criticism of anything Jewish. That was its primary purpose. It is also used of course to "protect" the ZioNazi pets (blacks and homosexuals to a large degree), but its main purpose is to serve the ZioNazi agenda. IOW, the ZioNazi doesn't give a **rat's ass** about hate crimes against European White Americans, and the record of course proves it.
>The example I gave was > clear enough. Here's another one: Racism, which is based on assumptions > that have been factually i.e. scientifically disproved, and which is > designed to foster hatred against other human beings whose ancestral > migration patterns happen to differ from one's own.
Stock ZioNazi mantra. Race is a scientific fact, not to mention overwhelming observational evidence that any 6-year-old can see. Acknowledging race does not mean hating the race for most people. ZioNazi do know a lot about racial hate though. How would you like for your sister to marry an Arab? Race became myth at about the same time that homosexuality was removed from the list of mental disorders, and the ZioNazis were the core of the movement for both actions. Politics makes poor science.

I asked a reasonable question. Jews are always telling us that Jewishness is a religion. If so, how can you be Jewish and atheist?

Race has always been a myth. The scientific fact is: You're as African as Al Sharpton, and as wrong about race as he is. Just because you choose to be pig-fucking-ignorant doesn't make what you want to believe the truth. Politics based on pseudo-scientific bullshit makes the worst politics of all.

You can't, and I'm not, because I am, respectively. I'm also, unlike you, heterosexual, so I don't have an axe to grind about homosexuality either.

Your stock "race is myth" mantra is of course as ignorant as your reasons for wanting to destroy the First Amendment. The only ones who support the "race is myth" myth are those who have nothing to lose by its being promoted, and those who have innate hatred for European-American culture. Since the overwhelming observational evidence eludes you:

Me a queer? Do tell, Einsteeen. What axe are you referring to? Homosexuality is a mental disorder, like atheist retardation. Studies show that turds of a feather flock together.

Settle down my boy. Why not start by actually making sense in a NG post? Then you can move up to defending things black, queer and ZioNazi.
