Ludicrous Media Hypocrisy

I was just watching a bunch of talking heads going on about the "morality"
of PAYING FOR CONTENT in regards to the Rob Ford crackman video.

What a bunch of A$$HATS. What do they do for a living??? Haven't they
read anything ABOUT THE MEDIA in the last 20 fuckin' years???

Just what, exactly is Digital Rights Management other than an attempt
to force EVERYONE TO PAY AND PAY by infringing on the security of
*everyone's* information?

These people want to take for free and digital rights management is just
institutionalized theft.

The media doesn't want to answer to Murphy and Heisenberg. But they're
gonna, and they'll try to drag the rest of us into the shit with them.

to Conservatives so he could appoint them to the Senate.

The Toronto Star is certainly milking the alleged crack smoking video
for all it's worth. It has filled pages and pages of their recent
editions. One day this weekend it was almost the entire front page, plus
several other half and 3/4 page articles. That is a hell of a lot of
coverage for the discussion of a video that the claim to have seen but
cannot produce.


There has been a lot of talk about how Ford should fess up and that, if
it turns out to be him he should resign. I have to wonder what they
expect of themselves should it be proved not to be Ford, or that he was
not smoking anything. As my son pointed out, there is little doubt that
Ford overdoes things. Sometimes he gets into the sauce and gets a little
loaded. He is a fat little bastard and likely has mood swings as a
result of yoyoing blood sugar levels. His obesity and asthma could
accentuate the effects of alcohol. He is fat so he sweats more, and tht
will make him smell boozier.

Not a fan of Ford, but the Star has too much of a hard on for him.

NEITHER Wallin nor Duffy were 'Liberal journalists'. They were
Conservatives the first chance they got. They liked the
money-under-the-table cheques more than they liked those earned honestly.

I guess now we know how Senators get appointed by Harper: by the amount
of money he thinks they can solicit for the Conservative Party.
Both Duffy and Wallin are smooth talkers. Just too bad for them that
they're about to get thrown under the bus because their lack of
principles and ethics have been exposed.

Had they stayed undiscovered, they'd still be traveling across the
country stumping for Harper and soliciting Con Party donations.

Maybe. And there's also the question as to who would benefit most if an outfit like
the Star, for example, purchased the supposed video.

They could well have damning evidence against a mayor who they clearly dislike. It
could get him turfed.

OTOH the crack dealers would have a couple hundred G to spend on new cars, and
likely some more 'gats' as well - which could end up getting more people in T.O.
killed - including innocent bystanders.

Other people have pointed out that Ford could simply volunteer a hair sample for
analysis - which would show whether or not he'd indulged over a good time past.

But why should he? Cocaine is a nasty, murderous drug that is ubiquitous in
Canadian society - from the top rung to the bottom.

Why not mandatory random drug testing for all politicians, judges, prosecutors,
cops, air traffic controllers etc etc... and TorStar employees?
