The short (compared to my 2004--2005 version, but longer
than my 1997 version that I posted to some newsgroups
including rec.org.mensa) version of my four orientation theory
is now up on http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/4O.html and here it is:

-----------
Four orientation theory

The basic four orientation theory is that there are four orientations:
purestraight, gay/lesbian, bisexual and fourth orientation [compatible
only with bisexual(s) of the opposite gender].

I have a much more detailed version of this theory from 2004 and 2005
including stuff on minimally complete marriage groups for lifespan
extension and more and I may add it back in here eventually. But this
theory dates back to 1997.

But again the four orientations are:

1. purestraight --- sexually attracted only to members of the
opposite sex and not excited much by the thought of threesomes. partly
compatible with bisexuals of the other gender but optimally compatible
with purestraight of the other gender

2. gay/lesbian --- sexually attracted only to members of the same
sex. somewhat compatible with bisexuals of the same sex but I think a
bit more compatible with gay/lesbian of the same sex. May have
friendship attraction to fourth orientation of the opposite sex.

3. bisexual --- sexually attracted to both genders but may choose to
live a celibate lifestyle, straight lifestyle, bisexual lifestyle or
gay/lesbian lifestyle. Somewhat compatible with purestraight of the
other gender, bisexual of the other gender and gay/lesbian of the same
gender. I think optimally compatible with bisexual of the same gender
and fourth orientation of the opposite gender. May be excited by the
thought of a threesome of self, another bisexual of the same gender and
a fourth orientation of the opposite gender.

4. fourth orientation --- sexually attracted to the other gender and
sexually excited by the thought of being in a threesome with two
bisexuals of the opposite gender. Compatible only with bisexual(s) of
the opposite gender. Not compatible with fourth orientation of the
opposite gender, purestraight of the opposite gender, or members of the
same gender. Not attracted to bisexuals of the other gender who are
involved with another fourth orientation of the same gender. Not
attracted to bisexuals of the other gender who haven't had at least a
few orgasms, which tends to rule out the very young though in the rare
cases where the very young have had a few orgasms the fourth orientation
person can use good sense to reject the attraction. May have friendship
attraction to gay/lesbian of the opposite gender who aren't trying to be
straight.

But one thing that must be considered to avoid exceptions to the theory
is that some people are transgendered --- i.e. spiritually of one gender
in the body of the other gender. In that case they must be treated in
the theory as if they are of the spiritual gender. Thus a spiritual
lesbian in a male body would be compatible with lesbians and bisexual
women, and would want a sex change. Also a fourth orientation male would
be attracted to a spiritually bisexual woman in a male body.

Any questionnaire used to identify someone's orientation (probably
anonymously) should first determine if the individual wants a sex
change, i.e., determine his or her spiritual gender, before discussing
who he or she is attracted to and any incompatibilities he or she has
experienced and any threesome excitation, in order to figure out which
of the four orientations he or she belongs to.

In cases of optimal compatibility the touch between the two should be
comfortable, warming and electric.
----------

Past promotion of the theory by me didn't go far partly
because my divined examples were wrong and partly
because many bisexuals (defined based on their attraction
to both genders, and not just to rare transgendered
exceptions) would claim to be purestraight and
some gay/lesbian would claim to be bisexual.
