Job Description: We are currently searching for an Art Director for our Creative team at MacLaren McCann Interactive.This position is located in downtown Toronto and will report to the Creative Director.
The Art Director’s prime responsibility is to provide creative direction and leadership through the development, design, production and presentation of interactive projects.The Art Director must have the ability to maintain the visual standard for each project in conjunction with the creative team and various departments throughout MMi.The successful candidate must have a proven track record designing and implementing state-of-the-art “look and feel” interactive projects.
Specific responsibilities will include:
7 Intimately understand a client’s business, brand and marketing objectives, proactively contributing to its evolution and success
7 Creation and conceptualization of multiple concepts for new assignments
7 Collaboration with team members to maximize effectiveness and innovation
7 Maintain high standards for design
7 Lead by example, excite and inspire creative to create innovative work
7
Competencies required include:
7 2+ years experience in interface design, web development and interactive media
7 Proficiency with design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Image Ready
7 Thorough understanding of graphic design, page layout and typography
7 Strong understanding of site navigation and user interface design
7 Ability to work under tight deadlines
7 Solid understanding of brand communications management
7 Strong communication skills across multiple levels
7 Knowledge of Director and Flash an asset
7 BA/Diploma in communications and design
