Job Location: Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Candidate's skills:
- completely conversant in both written and spoken English
- minimum 2 years related experience.
- must be 100% confident that this is the career path they wish to
take
- 80% of job is CAD drafting/10% contract administration/10% site
checking and preparing base building drawings
- must be fully knowledgeable with AutoCAD
- must be able to detail interior stairs, millwork, door and glazing
frames
- must be able to put together a set of construction documents from
sketch details from designers
- must follow in-house office standards
- must know excel and word
- must be able to coordinate drawings with mechanical, electrical and
structural engineers
- 3-D modeling an asset,not mandatory
- specification writing an asset, not mandatory
- contract administration will include site reviews, field
instructions, change orders, sketches.
- Salary will be based on work experience and education
- Year end bonuses if company makes money
- Mileage at $0.40/km and disbursements re-imbursed
- Rental cars arranged for out-of-town travel
- Benefit package kicks in after 3 months probation period - includes
dental/drugs/life insurance/short and long term disability insurance
- No relocation allowances
- Position is becoming vacant because individual wishes to pursue
family business
- 10 days paid vacation per year
- 10 days paid stat holidays per year
- Overtime is banked and taken hour for hour
