It is with a great deal of sadness that I pass along the news that
Alex (Rocky) Rockitniki passed away on December 10, 2009. I am not
sure how many of you know Rocky as he has not been active with RGS for
the last decade or so. Needless to say he was instrumental in creating
RGS and the Gliding Centres you know today. I can honestly say that if
you are flying because of Air cadets it is a direct result of Rocky's
efforts and dedication to the program. A great man and a gentle
soul. He will be truly missed.
