The next meeting should be a talks meeting, 7.30pm at RealVNC
(http://tinyurl.com/realvncoffices).

I didn't make proper notes, but I remember that Bryan Cole had hoped
to be able to give a talk. Please feel free to volunteer via the list,
or just turn up with a topic - it can be anywhere from a few minutes
upwards in length.

Meetings after that should be:

* Tuesday 6th December, dojo/coding
* Tuesday 10th January, talks again (note that this is the SECOND
Tuesday)
* Tuesday 7th February, dojo/coding

There was a small agreement on going for the second Tuesday in January
(since 3rd January is a bit close to the public holidays) at the last
meeting, so there we are.

I was planning on a brief (really) talk on "Deploying Python Apps on
the Windows Desktop".
I can also show some screenshots and talk a bit about Teraview's
latest terahertz instrument which
is built with python (and with help from Tony) and was deployed
earlier this year.

I hope not to talk for more than 20 mins at the most so there'll be
time for other to speakers.

Should be a fairly brief one (20 mins at the most), so there'll still
be time for other speakers. If people are interested, I could also
show some screenshots and talk a bit about the design of Teraview's
latest terahertz instrument built using python (and with help from
Tony) earlier this year.

Hey guys,

Reading the emails and looking at the website, it is not clear to me
when the next meeting will be organised. Would love to be there and
maybe talk a bit about the Scientific computing Python ecosystem.

The next meeting is Tuesday 1st November (next Tuesday), the place is RealVNC (http://tinyurl.com/realvncoffices), and the time is 7.30pm

You'd be very welcome, especially if you're bringing a talk.

Meetings are every first Tuesday (occasionally we slip to the second Tuesday), same time, same place. and alternate between talks meetings and coding meetings.

I've got a short talk I can do on 'withdir', which I believe I
mentioned briefly at an earlier meeting, and is now on github:
https://github.com/tibs/withdir

Hope to see people this evening.
