Thank you for the updates Milf, Foodie, and Bama! I didn't know most of what was listed, so I really appreciate the info. I have some good news... I'm engaged! :) Shane proposed in June, on the night before my birthday, with his grandmother's ring. Right now he's still living in OKC and I'm still in Chicago so we're sorting it out.
I'm applying for a job there with a cancer department, but I'm nervous to disclose all my cancer experience (which, experience-wise is super advantageous). My radiologist gave me some great advice I thought I'd share: 'If you don't disclose it up front, when they find out they'll be offended; if you do disclose it and don't get the position because of it, you would be unhappy there anyway." (Plus he said some choice words about the department should the latter occur). Anyone have an opinion to share on the subject?
Lastly, I got to see the 2010 FD yearbook (yes it exists, and I requested that it go up on the FD website for purchase) in Hood River last month, and of *all* the FD staffers, camps, and events, guess what picture is on the cover?? *US* on top of Castle Rock!! I was SO excited when I saw it!
Miss you all!
Lots of Love, Psych

Check in guys? I know Caribou has seemingly bounced back well from
her radiation...she's renewing her wedding vows (I've followed along
on FB). Showing us all how to give cancer the finger by moving
forward with a pledge of love, symbol of hope to me....

Everyone else, check in - how are you, good news welcome, bad news not
welcome, but ok to report b/c we can give a little electronic FD love
    to each other.

Foodie - I've been making lots of basil limeade this summer. Have you
tried that? So good! Any trips to Duke where we can connect in
    person?
Sprouts - How did you fair from your surgery?
Slash, is the FD baby almost here??? photos of the big belly and baby
    are mandatory ASAP!
Clover - good job on the commercial, she's a "tee vee" star now!
Kale - love, love, love the 3 generation trip w/ your mom and your
daughter. Amazing idea and loved following along on FB/your blog.
Alabama - how's the new job?
Again - love hearing from you...wish I could win the lotto and come
out for a set of CMS guided trips w/ you guys. I think about you
    guides often.

I know I didn't cover everyone, but menopause brain prevents me from
remembering what's up w/ everyone to call you out so check-in, again,
    since I can't remember shit!

For those not on FB, Shotgun's husband continues to post on her blog,
some really moving stuff and photos about some of her last weeks. Not
    depressing, but loving and moving.

I'm feeling old which in the cancer-world is good...my son is going to
be a senior this year and my 20th High School Reunion is Labor Day
weekend. Trying to resist the urge to max out my credit card on
Botox! I did tell myself during cancer, that I was more than my boobs
and hair but for some reason the elixir of Botox advertisements gets
me every time I pick up a magazine and think about the reunion!
Summertime is the best time to live by the beach so I've been enjoying
    that just about every weekend.

When clients are bitching at me about how shitty their lives are
during divorce, or how they other person is out to get them...I just
say stuff like "uh-huh" and "I understand" while I'm standing up at my
desk looking at the pics of us on that heart-rock and on top of the
Castle Rock...I savor to those memories of us together!

    Love, MILF

    Bama update
    -----

I got married in January. We decided to act like kids and run off to
vegas. It was a blast. (here are way too many photos to look at)
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/blarfballs/sets/72157625922602174/

2 days later I started a job at AOL Ventures. I run around meeting
with people and every once in while I write them a check. It's been
a crazy 6 months learning the ropes (had to do it...).

Finally I've been indoor climbing about 2-3 times a week since camp.
My wife and I love it. Can't wait to make it back to colorado and
    take on those mountains.

Let me know if anyone makes it out this way. Miss you all....

Update:

For those of you not on Facebook, Caribou was put on life support today. She and her husband recently renewed their wedding vows and an article about Eden was written for their local newspaper (link below). Please keep her and her husband, Cory, in your prayers...

Hi everyone,

Thank you so so much for those that keep us non-FBers in the loop. I just can't believe the news about Caribou. Things seemed to be looking up. Man, she's got a lot of pizzazz for this world. Please let us know if any other updates come out.

As for the rest of you - wow, so much crazy news, and a lot of good news. Bama - you crack me up. Based on the pics, she looks fun and worth giving up bees for!! Milk - you crack me up too. You're not so old - and besides you're pretty cool and I hope I can be as cool as mom as you. Congrats to Psyche. Kale - I could use some gardening advise. Damn Colorado potato beetle!!  Sprouts - totally want to hear what's up with you. Foodie - I have another camper on caringbridge so I'll definitely look you up. Infamous guides - any good mountainside stories?  Clover - you da poo! Thanks for the updates.

As for me, I'm down to less than two weeks. The first four months sucked beyond sucked, but I really can't complain now. I still go to rugby and run around with the girls (non-contact!), still play squash, and weed the garden. With the ridiculous heat though, I start the weeding at 6:30 and then head in when the sun pokes its head. The kid still doesn't have a room though so it's time to step up and crack down. Still several more days of work unfortunately. I worry a little because this thing only goes knutz when no one is looking and is calm as can be when others try to look and touch. I'm in for a rough ride if that continues once it decides to join the world.

Keep the updates coming. I just pulled out our Storm the Castle picture and put it on the fridge. Always makes me smile.

Take care y'all, and keep smiling,
Slash
