"The Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival is seeking for an Event Coordinator to begin working as soon as possible". This is a year-round part-time position with great possibility to become full-time and benefits".

 

The Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival, Inc., (LSEAWF) is dedicated to the preservation, protection and sharing of the arts and cultural heritage of the Southeast Asian Americans of Greater Lowell and the New England area.   The organization promotes mutual understanding among Southeast Asian Americans and other communities through exposure to Southeast Asian art and crafts, spiritual traditions, dance, music, and food.

The Event Coordinator is a mid-to-upper level planning and coordinating position, working with the Board of Directors to plan and implement the Annual Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival.

 

S/he will provide direct support and organizational assistance to volunteers, and will participate in festival planning meetings.  Applicants must have excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory/delegation skills, as well as the ability to work independently within a strong team environment and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.  This position is based in Lowell, Massachusetts and applicants must be able to work the entire length of contract, though schedule can be somewhat flexible.
