Auto mode and manual mode

HI,
i recently switched from Nikon to Canon 7D and slowly getting used to the commands and settings.
I took a picture in Auto mode and then used that settings to take a picture in manual mode. those two looks entirely different in regards to the brightness, exposure etc. what am i doing wrong?? i tried to attach the pics but not allowed because of file size

What was your white balance?

Thanks for the mail. The white balance was set to auto in both cases. I am
attaching one image each from the auto and manual mode, could you be kind
enough to review the images and advice. Thanks again for your time.
