Someone on twitter has suggested White Elephant Way, which I like.
County Council Cycle Cockup?
Misguided Way, seems the obvious one.

Nice one. You'd probably need signposts to divers places as well.
And an annual competition with celebrity hosting by our very own
Cambridge champion.

That sounds like an antibiotic to me.
"Shona's Folly" should do it nicely...

Not to mention Ham Sandwich (one of the Sunk Ports).
Cambridge Plage after Paris Plage? Or should that be Camepont Plage?

It's the Fen in Fen Drayton, isn't it?

'Cyclebahn' : "Bahn" is the word for track or railway, Most people are
familiar with the term "Autobahn", meaning motorway. So a 'cyclebahn'
is a somewhat aspirational word for a good, even highway for cyclists
by a railway track ;-)
'Cyclebahn' abbreviates as "CB". As someone on the Cycling Campaign's
Members list suggested we could extent the network and have a CB1,
CB2 ...

Organ Donor Lane
You should leave the tasteless revelling in death
to mrcheerful.
He's much better at it.
BugBear
There you go, we are delivering "tomorrow's" headlines today ;-)
Not quite right. As cyclists have longer life expectancy than average,
Organ Recipient is more likely.
But then it's not like Judith to scaremonger, is it?

Hello Bugbear - I juts love the way that you have to comment on my every post.
I really do appreciate it.
Sorry - I got it from *your* arsewipe paper : the Daily Mail:

Members of the medical profession refer to cyclists as "donors".

Lycra Lane
Wanker Way
Tosser Trail
Sponger Street
Freeloader Freeway
Dimwit Drive

What is it you say in these circumstances, Judith? Ah yes:
"I am sure you will have a URL which will back up this claim - or are
you yet another from the Porky school of dishonesty?"
I have tried the Daily Mail website, but all I got was:
"You searched for 'cyclist organ donors' - No results found"
So, where is your reference to this?
If it's just "Judith says the Daily Mail says..." then it is almost
bound not to be true.
After bumping into NickMc I've realised that my suggestion is waaay to
subtle (or rubbish).
The North West Bank looks like a normal innocent fenland name but ....
North West - because its NW of Cambridge.
Bank - because it holds back water.
North West Bank - a play on Natwest Bank, because that's where all our
money is.
West Bank - because there's as much controversy as there is near
Israel.

Actually, the Guided Bus is remarkably _un_controversial!

2009 per billion passenger kilometres:
Cyclists Killed or seriously injured : 567
Pedestrians Killed or seriously injured : 415
Which is the safer form of transport?
Judith,
Your double standards are showing again. If you make a claim it is up
to YOU to provide evidence. Please provide evidence of your "Daily
Mail says claim"
If others make a claim you say they have to provide a url or imply
they made it up, but when you make a claim, I have to research it?
You do appear to be either quite mad or hypocritical.

You keep asking this, so I'll keep answering by including the figures
you deliberately miss out:
Killed per billion passenger km: Pedal cycle 21, Pedestrian 26. (DfT
2009 figures).
Hard to say which is safer (when you look at the whole picture).
Don't feed the troll! If we started another thread we'd be free of
Judith for about five minutes, I suppose....
Tim
"The word "troll" is in common usage in Usenet. However, the
psycholists have adopted it for their own use to apply to anyone who
disagrees with their ingrained and irrational views. This enables
them to say "ignore him - he is a troll" when faced with facts which
are too unpalatable for the psycholist to contemplate - never mind
discuss in a sensible fashion".
I didn't say anything about 'him', I said Judith - she's a crazy
obsessive who lends nothing to sensible discussion.
Tim
Ah - diddums - can't you stomach a bit of criticism - or some
straight facts.

The BMA view of helmets:
The BMA (British Medical Association) urges legislation to make the wearing of cycle helmets compulsory for both adults and children.
The evidence from those countries where compulsory cycle helmet use has already been introduced is that such legislation has a beneficial effect on cycle-related deaths and head injuries.
This strongly supports the case for introducing legislation in the UK. Such legislation should result in a reduction in the morbidity and mortality associated with cycling accidents.
