Dear Friends of our Veterans,
We are writing to all of you who attended the VA Chapel Clergy Day in May of last year to let you know about our upcoming Marriage Enrichment weekend for veterans. This special retreat, our third in the past year, will be held from Friday evening, May 17, through Sunday noon, May 19, at the Holiday Inn on I 55 & Butler Hill Road. The VA will cover the cost, which includes registration, resource materials, 2 nights lodging, and meals. The retreat will be led by VA chaplains who have been trained and certified in PAIRS (Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills).
The response that we have gotten from couples who attended one of our past two retreats has been overwhelmingly positive. In the attachments you will find more information about PAIRS, comments from past attendees, a flyer, and an application form. If you know of any veterans who may be interested in attending the Marriage Enrichment weekend in May, please pass this information along to them.
If you know of veterans who may be interested in attending, but have a conflict with the May dates, we are planning to have several more retreats in the months to come (dates to be determined). Couples may still fill out applications and we will keep them on file for the next available retreat.
