Personally, I use www.CalgaryPlus.ca or alternately at www.Calgary.com. They
have the most information, updated daily, about what's happening it Calgary.
Anybody have any thoughts about this?

Hello fellow artists and art appreciators;
Many of you know me through my art, and my teaching and publishing on "The
Business of Art for Canadian Visual Artists". I am inviting you, or any
referrals you may have, to join me at the Giverny ArtStudy Program where we
have access to Monet's Gardens everyday without the interruption of
tourists. I will also pass on to those interested how to market your work in
order to pay for your trip. Please see the details below.
"Painting & Photographing in Monet's Garden"
Giverny France, August 1 to August 10, 2002
Cost for Giverny ArtStudy - $2,250
Includes: accomodations and 3 meals per day at Giverny, access to Monet's
Garden each day without the tourists, field trips around southern Normandy,
transporation to and from Charles de Gaulle airport, talks on how to market
your work to pay for the trip.
Air travel is the responsibility of the individual - estimate $969 to $1,300
Suggested flight departure date July 31 to arrive August 1.
Pick-up at the Charles de Gaulle Airport to Giverny on August 1, 9am to 1pm.
If people arrive a couple of days early to spend time in Paris, I can
suggest inexpensive hotels near the Louvre.

tell me hey i got more computer then you did ... and i got to spend
lots more money then you too)
The listing was originally compiled and posted by Calgarian's,
Calgary Businesses, and area residents, because Calgarian's were
looking for Calgary Stampede information that was not yet available
at that time, such as Free Food and Entertainment, best of all it was
done by Calgarian's, Calgary Businesses, and area residents, in the
hope it would help some people enjoy the Calgary Stampede and to plan
a head to enjoy some of the excellent food and entertainment.
2. CalgaryPlus.ca & CFCNPlus.ca have a multi million dollar media
machine corporation behind them, they have to answer to Head Office in
Toronto, and the multi million dollar media machine, has to answer to
multi million dollar sponsors as to what you and the world will see
and be told.
(good or bad thats a matter of opinion and everyone has a opinion)
About Calgary is by Calgarians, Calgary Businesses & area residents,
many thousands of hours and dollars is donated by (yes you guessed
it), Calgarians, Calgary Businesses & area residents.
About Calgary does not try to compete with the many multi million
media machines in Calgary and areas.
No multi million dollar sponsors here, just Calgarians, Calgary
Businesses & area residents, donating time, money, computers, cars,
trucks, software code and coding in html, java, cgi, and on and on ...
.... in short compare oranges to oranges and apples to apples.
Your comparsion of apples to oranges, there is just no way to compare
properly, fairly.
Again About Calgary was never intended to compete with any of the
great media machines in Calgary (see below for some of the excellent
Calgary media machines).

The above media are a really good thing for Calgary, probably even
necessary. (a opinion)
Use About Calgary as a launching pad for all the available excellent
internet resources About Calgary, made available by Calgarians,
Calgary Businesses, and area residents, not as a replacement for multi
million dollar corporations web sites or even the a local club,
association, etc.., Calgary web sites that are About Calgary.
All of the media machines have excellent stuff About Calgary, Calgary
Stampede, as well as national and international information.
Once again if we must compare, lets compare apples to apples and not
apples to oranges.
