Subject: iPhone Hacks

Aloha,

I have a conundrum at the office, and I was thinking/hoping that some
tech-savvy individual on here may be able to help. I have an iPhone 3G
(yes, old, old, old) and need to be reachable via email from the office.
This requires installing a Lotus Notes app. My old phone is apparently too
old to support Lotus Notes (go figure). I can't bring myself to upgrade to
the 4S when I know the 5 is right around the corner. And my only other
option is a BlackBerry (not interested). I'm wondering if:

1. Someone knows where I can find a cheap, cheap, cheap iPhone 3GS or 4? Or,
2. It's possible to unlock/jailbreak (that's the term, isn't it?) my iPhone
3G to run iOS 6 (it's currently running 4.2, which is the highest I can put
on it)

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If work needs to reach you via e-mail, then have them buy you a phone to
use e-mail. Problem solved.
