Dear CACS members and friends,
As you know, the CACS 5th Annual Sustainability Summit is on April 21st, 2008. We would like to ask for your help to get the word out to the campus community. Please forward the announcement and flier below to your colleagues, students (both graduate and undergraduate), faculty and staff. Everyone, no matter their role on campus or previous knowledge of sustainability, is encouraged to attend! Let us know if you have any concerns or comments at iseliv...@gmail.com, and please forgive us if you are receiving this request twice.

Also, don't forget to RSVP for lunch! Lunch is the only portion of the summit which requires an RSVP, please do so if you can make it! Also, some of you have already signed up to volunteer, thank you so much. We still need more help, go to http://sustainability.berkeley.edu/summit/ to sign up.

Sincerely,
Laura, Desirae, and Irene

5th Annual Sustainability Summit

Did you know UC Berkeley has solar panels on the top of the student union building? Do you want to recycle but think it's inconvenient on our campus or your residence?
Interested in sustainability but don't know where to start?

Come join us at the annual Sustainability Summit hosted by the Chancellor's Advisory Committee on Sustainability (CACS). CACS would like to invite you to attend the half day event on April 21st  that will recognize what is being done on campus to make it more sustainable and provide some information on personal choices you can make in your life to be more sustainable during ten breakout sessions.

Take a look at the attached flier and visit http://sustainability.berkeley.edu/summit for more information. There will be free lunch from 12:00-1:30pm (with a keynote speaker) catered by Café De La Paz (RSVP required; go to http://sustainability.berkeley.edu/summit/rsvp.html). Everyone, no matter their role on campus or previous knowledge on sustainability, is encouraged to attend. Staff is granted a two hour leave period to attend this event subject to the operational considerations of their department.

Please forward this email to anyone you think would be interested.
