Hi,

Is there a *reliable* macro tool that I can use to delete the word next to the cursor?

(Instead of using CTRL+SHIFT+right arrow Backspace?)

You could use AutoHotkey (http://www.autohotkey.com) and assign CTRL+SHIFT+right arrow Backspace to a key of your choice.

Fn+Option+Delete deletes the word to the right of the cursor, Option+Delete the one to the left.

Hans, you may try MadRuby
http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30856/madruby

I use it under Lion.

okay, point taken ;)

I've reconnected my Mac keyboard again

now the ctrl+alt modifier makes sense too, I was about to change it to shift+alt because of my Windows keyboard

thanks, Hans!
