Cafe - I have read the emails going back and forth. It looks like pulling together a type of Easter breakfast as in the past is going to be difficult. The information needs to be given to the congregation this week or it won't have enough publicity to have a good turnout beyond our "regulars" and what a good opportunity for evangelism we would miss.

That being said:
1. I need a firm commitment that there is a leader for this.
2. That it will happen.
3. Another option - is to go the continental type breakfast where you don't have to do cooking or much.
4. Another option is to ask people to bring a continental breakfast food to share for the meal, bringing food that morning or Friday and it can go in the fridge. Less work for whomever is on the "hands-on" team.

Could I get a yes - or no - by tomorrow Fri by noon?

I am sending this email from my church email. If you can, please respond to magd...@gmail.com as a cc.

Call me if you need to as well  - cell: 312-217-6899.

Blessings to all.

Hi, all. Rob and I were just talking about this today as well. I think we need a firm count of how many people we have on board.

Here's what I'm pretty sure of from previous conversations/emails:

NO's:
Jacob & Joscelynn will be out of town.
I (Amy) will not be available to help with cooking/serving. I might be able to help a little bit with room set-up or other tasks in between taking care of the kids. But don't count on me for the head count.

MAYBE's:
Rob might be available but is not a firm yes at this point.

YES's:
Kwang will be there ready to cook!

Please add yourselves to the appropriate categories! :)

Sorry that we have been late to the conversation.  We weren't sure if we were going to be in town.  But now we know we will be.  I've added us below.

Depending on how many people are available, we could scale down the breakfast a bit.  We could just do pancakes, sausages, bananas (or some basic kind of fruit that requires little prep), with juices.  In other words, scale down the fruit salad and don't worry about the scrambled eggs.

Beth and Andy and Beth's mom and dad (at least three of us most likely due to taking care of kids) - Beth can help organize

Happy Wednesday, all....
Put me down for the butter, napkins, plates, cups, syrup, and tin foil.  I have some of these left over from office parties, so there's no need for people to buy more.

Best,

Update: butter, napkins, plates, cups, syrup, and tin foil.  As for the boxes of pancake mix, I know that at Costco, there is the large bag of Krusteaz mix.  I have highlighted items that still needs volunteers.

We've done the fruit salad in the past and are happy to do so again, if no one else takes it.  You can either put us down for that now, or we'll wait until the end and "fill in the gaps" as needed.

I am so impressed with the Williams family and the sausage parade!
Remember that I"ll do room table, etc. colored plastic table clothes and
something in the middle.

Rooms Set up: Very important - Do you want any tables set up in the
elevator lobby or outside the kitchen door area like last year? Has anyone
given a room set up for the theater if that is being used? For tutoring we
set up two 8 ft tables that seat 30 people on the stage and another 6 ft
table on the floor that seats 12. This needs to get to Carol by Monday at
noon because that is our staff meeting and we go over all the room set ups
for events like this. Please do this soon. You can email her a copy of
what I put above if you like. She will also want to know about chairs in
the class rooms. We talked about chairs too at staff this week and she now
has the maximum number of chairs that Pierce Hall rooms can hold. Room 3
has been a mess when I've checked it the last two weeks and I've made some
table and chair arrangement, but that won't do for Easter breakfast.
You'll need to give her instructions for room 3. This sounds like it is a
bother, but it will make a whole difference in what should be ready vs.
what isn't and you end up putting things together. The comments from last
year was that people liked eating in the theater for fellowship so as many
tables as can be set up in their given Silk Road's staging is best.

This Sunday I will be in James Parlor between services and at 12:15 in
Pierce hall teaching confirmation. The best way to reach me is by email or
my cell: 312-217-6899.

Thanks so much and I can't wait to get a great breakfast! For those
bringing muffins I saw listed, there are about 6 coffee cakes and one
muffin basket coming that I know of from last Sunday. Some new people
bringing things so this is a great way to meet new people.
Thanks,
Cheri

Kwang,
I'm sorry I had to cut our phone conversation short yesterday.
I just talked one more time with Carol Emmons about Pierce Hall. Because of silk road in production still now it is that there won't be enough chairs for the theater use. Carol is doing her best to get chairs where they need to be and it is quite a challenge.

The classrooms will have as many chairs in them as possible. I'll make a nice sign to invite people to eat in the classrooms. Remember I'm doing table decorations.
Thanks so much. I can't wait for a pancake! Sorry - I won't eat the sausage unless it's vegetarian. I couldn't believe it when Emily Pernell made vegetarian spring rolls for me!
Peace,
Cheri
