Oil reproductions of famous paintings?

For my own pleasure, I've ordered oil reproductions of famous paintings
from a European source. It appealed to me to have a da Vinci and a Van
Gogh hanging in my office. After looking around, I bought a really nice
Monet repro but paid a ton for it.

Prices from that European contractor are much better. Assuming quality
and accuracy, I wonder if there's a market for such work. I spoke with a
couple of galleries, and they're quite interested (depending upon
quality, of course). The first objective is Mona Lisa.

There's no copyright issue, and the prices seem quite good to me. Is
anyone here interested?
