Sorry, those links are outdated. I'll x the links. Thanks for the
heads up.
The only seismic activity I periodically track and forecast is USA:

I'm currently busy with other things so bookmark if interested and try
back after October 2007.

Need I say more?
Yeah, I do. This guy made a challenge to see if anyone could
beat his track record. I stepped up, and he backed out. Must
not have considered that someone woudl actually call his bluff.

The quake 4cast king has a groupie, one with a terrible memory, but
hey it's a start.
Hey, you're in the wrong newsgroup. Jokes don't belong here.

Yeah especially the two legged kind.
Replying only to point out that nym shifting is a classic

This is important to you? Oh I forgot, your a groupie.
One .. at a time ;)
Care to take me up on YOUR challenge again?
For real?! As I said to you countless times, anytime you find a viable
forecaster with the gonads enough to step up to the plate and face the
only accurate North American earthquake forecaster (on a daily basis)
on the internet .. that won't bluff and bail at the last minute,
please let me know. I won't run off with my tail between my legs like
you did, multiple times. So scout around for me and when you find
someone with those credentials I'll be right here. I'm already getting
impatient so please hurry. Thanks, Steve, The Prognosticating Guru
<Who's your daddy.>
So let me get this straight. You issued a challenge re quake
prediction. I accept. You now refuse to accept my acceptance
of your challenge?
Whatever.

Apparently your A.D.D. or dyslexia (take your pick) strikes again. Be
my guest to re-read my last post a lot more carefully. In case you
don't see it, I'm looking for serious, SERIOUS forecasters (who won't
back out) unlike yourself. If you find one, let me know asap. It's
been months that I've been unchallenged and I'm worried I will never
be challenged.
GL
Steve, the forecast guru.
Perhaps if people actually took you seriously...
George
Lose your ego and state your challenge parameters.
I'm giving you an opportunity to prove yourself.
What again? Look I've begged you to challenge me multiple times dude,
and you bailed every time, can you read?

Again, I've incessantly pounded the point in this thread, you've wore
out your opportunites long ago multiple times. You've become a boring
groupie. Now take a hike tike.
Trolls don't. And how I wish groupies wouldn't.
Obviously you haven't seen any of my past forecasts charts Troll.

The only reason I bailed was because you failed to present
your challenge parameters, like you are doing now.
But I'm not bailing out again. Say what you will. Throw out
all the insults you want. But just think of your reputation
when people see you calling names to someone who is willing
to accept your challenge. It makes you look like you have
something to hide or can't back up your claims.

And what if I don't?
You go making a claim like being the world's best earthquake
predictor and people are going to call you on it. Hell, Jim
Berkland is a better predictor than you if for no other reason
than he is willing to at least try to back up his claims -
which, btw, we haven't seen any proof of your claims yet.
Fine. Let's put this another way. Don't consider it a competition
between me and you. Just make your predictions here and we'll
evaluate your glorious successes when you make all the hits!!!
Let's see how good a predictor you are!

Lies.
For the record, "multiple" challenges were clearly presented to you in
detail and you bailed immediately after the presentation. And no, I'm
not offering a challenge now. So two strikes and I'm gonna stop here
and not waste anymore time with you ok. Ok.
Please post message ID's please? Or links to Google threads?
? Now you forgot? Another lie?
Please post message ID's please that contradict my assertions? Or
links to Google threads?
Thanks,
Steve
You are the one making the assertions. You back them up.
Prove in detail where I "bailed immediately".
If you can do it, I'll eat crow right here in this newsgroup.
> You are the one making the assertions. You back them up.
Another lie. Your lies are adding up. In fact you were first to make
assertions. These are your words in this very thread (in case you are
inept to find them):
>>Yeah, I do. This guy made a challenge to see if anyone could
>>beat his track record. I stepped up, and he backed out. Must
>>not have considered that someone woudl actually call his bluff.
Now YOU back up this assertion, groupie. Show where you stepped up and
I backed out. If you can do this (yeah right), then I'll be more than
glad to dig around for your worthless posts. I'll help you look, the
last time I wasted time with your nonsense in this earthquake thread
was in the spring of 2007.
So have fun hunting around and don't make up more lies.
Good luck, you need it,
Steve

Better yet, upload your crow fest onto youtube for us please.
Oh, having troubles posting again? It took you six edits of your
post to say what you wanted to say?
Oh...that's right...you're one of those folks using Google to post
to usenet. I'm so sorry......NOT!!!!!
When are you going to learn that you cannot delete messages on
usenet? Maybe from Google, but not the rest of usenet. I saw all
six of your posts.
But back to your accusations. It's obvious you didn't even try to
look up our first discussions because it occurred in winter, not
spring. January 22 was when you first posted your challenge.
AH-HA!!! I just figured out why you challenge ME to prove it! It's
because your posts have been deleted from the Google archive! Gee,
why is that? Afraid your bluff would be called? Well, it has. Now
don't you look silly?
Anywya, they're still in my archive. After my signature lines below
readers will find a complete record of the relevant posts (with full
headers) from the thread started on Jan 22. There are many other
posts int he thread but I have only included the linear thread
directly related to myself and Steve and this challenge. Anyone on
a real news server can verify this information independantly.
Messages by Steve will not be found on Google as he deleted them,
as that is where he posts from.
As can be seen in this first encounter, the last post was made by
myself asking Steve a question, to which he never replied. I never
made any statement about backing out. Steve's lack of repsonse
implies that it was in fact he who backed out.
I have nothing to hide, Steve.

Steve if you didn't know it, Brian has the best record of quake
predictions in the world. I suggest you pull your head out of your
ass and take a look at his web site. His system "works" and his hit
rate is high if not the highest in the world.

If he were good Bob, you'd have tried to rip him apart. The very fact
that you side with him already shows me he ain't up to my challenge,
but if he wants to challenge me, I'll take a look at some of his
"works."

I spent weeks trying to find him fudging or cheating by cherry
picking datasets. All the while his record of hits continued to
increase.
If you have a goal of an ongoing project to beat. Take a good look at
brian's web site. He also posts daily on
newsgroups:alt.earthquakes.predictions where an ongoing discussions
is slowly taking place on how to evaluate predictions without
creating bias.

Diversion attempt noted. I expect as much from a proven groupie.
I see you're trying out for a troll position now. Truth hurts huh?
And I see you tap danced again away from the main point of this
whole discussion, which was the bulk of my post, which shows the
lack of evidence for the assertions you have made against me.
Rather, if anything, it shows you to be the one to have backed
out of your own challenge.
Oh, and the typical troll accusations, yet again.
Put up or shut up, Steve.
If I were to issue my own earthquake prediction challenge, I wonder
if you would come up to the plate. We shall see.
Good advice. Want some sugar with that?

Yawn.
That's the about same response you gave during my last challenge in
the spring lol.
So does this mean you gave up trying to find the thread where you
claimed I bailed huh? Figured as much. Obviously the truth is on my
side. Take up a new hobby like telling the truth once a year.
You're asleep at the wheel, boy. I already did!!!
If the truth is on your side, why are you so unwilling to prove
it? Like I am? It should be so easy to do.
To be honest, I don't care if I'm right or wrong on this matter.
My whole point here is that I am willing to back up my statements,
or at least TRY to back them up with FACTS, where as all you are
willing to do is make more snide comments and accusations.
If you are so right and I so am wrong, then prove it.
But I know you can't. Why? Because you made the mistake of having
your messages deleted from Google News and now you can't search
for them.
WHOOOPS!!!
You've kicked yourself in the teeth with that one. But no need
to fret over it. Just learn from your mistake and we can let this
pass into history.
Moving along now, back to the earthquake challenge. I am going to
make my own challenge. All will be invited. Are you game?
More lies.

Eat crow!
Ok groupie, here's the thread:
http://groups.google.com/group/ca.earthquakes/browse_frm/thread/1cb8a6d178de77e2?scoring=d&hl=en
You'll find that I laid out the challenge to you in black and white
only to watch you run off like a cat with turpentine on his ass.
You bailed. Now start eating that crow you promised to eat.
Upload your feast onto youtube for all to enjoy.
Owned.
Good riddance liar,
Steve, the forecast guru.

Well there ya go!!! Now was that so hard? Why did it take so much
effort for me to get you to back up your statements? I practically
had to hit you upside the head with a 2x4 to motivate you.
I knew this whole time that I had made those statements. This whole
exercise was to show the necessity of backing up statements with
evidence.
Science demands proof. You cannot go around making claims without
evidence to back it up. Even if you're right, it means nothing
without the evidence.
So now that you have had your ego stroked, are you willing to back
up your claim of being the best predictor?

You just don't get it, do you Stevie boy? I've been playing you
like a fiddle this whole time. This was never about whether I
backed out of your challenge or not. This is about you making a
wild claim - being the best predictor - and being unwilling to
back it up and prove it.
Do your feet taste good? Surely not as good as crow. :)
