PDF & ePUB with Anthologize Wordpress plugin?
I ran into a Wordpress plugin that creates PDF & ePUB -- it might be useful for the Journal if anybody has time to experiment: "Anthologize is a free, open-source, plugin that transforms WordPress into a platform for publishing electronic texts. Grab posts from your WordPress blog, import feeds from external sites, or create new content directly... more »

Code4Lib Journal Call for Papers (proposals due mid-Jan, publication anticipated mid-Apr)
Wei -- ... If you equate "peer review" with "blind peer review", then the answer is no. The Code4Lib Journal uses an open editorial process among the editorial committee, not a blind peer review process. The quick overview of how the journal is put together is here: The Code4Lib Journal – Process and Structure... more »

Draft Call-for-Papers for issue #20
In keeping with the quarterly publication schedule [0], the call-for-papers for the issue #20 is scheduled to go out on Monday. This puts us on track to publish this issue on April 15, 2013. Depending on the number of proposals received over the festive holiday season, a reminder C-f-P might be sent out on January 7th. The text of the proposed C-f-P follows the... more »

Help with WordPress for Code4Lib Journal
... ... Not being one to waste a perfectly good segue... The Code4Lib Journal runs on WordPress. This was a decision made by the editorial board at the time (2007) and by and large it was a good one. Over time, one of the board members offered his technical expertise to build a few custom plugins that would streamline the workflow for publishing the... more »

updating CFP with proposal deadlines
Hey, I'm sending some prospective authors info about the Journal. I see that the deadlines haven't been updated recently: "The proposal deadline for the next issue is Tuesday, February 28, 2011, to be published June 1, 2012." [1] It seems hard to maintain these -- would it be easier to just link into the... more »

Editorial help
Hi, all. We heard a call for participation at C4L12, and I thought I might be able to help. Back before I started doing web stuff, well before library school, I made my living doing editorial work for academic publishers. I've done a fair amount of work with WordPress, too. I'd be interested in hearing about the need for that sort of thing and the... more »
