I finally got around to reading Galen Charlton's article [1] about
DVCS and Library Metadata (nice and timely btw) and noticed his blog
for the first time in the 'About the Author' section.

I was wondering if y'all might consider adding author's blogs to the
code4lib planet as part of the c4lj publishing workflow. Galen's isn't
on the planet right now. I haven't looked at the others yet, but maybe
there's some more?

I'd probably check with the author first, but this seems like an
interesting and good idea. Anybody here know how to add things to
planet? Can we do it ourselves, or do we need to go through someone
(jrochkind, for example)?

thanks,
-emily

This is a great idea in theory, but I worry about adding too much extra
work for C4LJ editors, we already have an awful lot to try and keep
track of.

So maybe we can say we'll try to do this, good idea, but we might
sometimes not succeed. :)

And yes, at the moment, I happen to be the person with access to the
planet config files to add feeds to the planet. If anyone else wants to
help me admin the planet, we can get them an account on the server to do
so.

Fair enough. You guys rock for doing what you are doing. I was a
doubter that c4lj was even possible, and that even if it was possible
that it would be valuable. You have proven me wrong on both counts.
Kudos.
