Well, that certainly solves the problem!
I went back and looked at the options in NUD, and the todo status
stays visible regardless of whether the user shows the event time or
not. Showing the status, *without* time clutter is what I'm asking
for, and your solution makes it even more flexible.

Thanks for the note. Most of those items are on our roadmap.
Can you clarify how you want To Dos sorted? Right now BusyCal sorts uncompleted To Dos on the top and completed To Dos to the bottom. Are you suggesting the opposite?

You can kind of do that already.
For all-day events that are on a Holiday Calendar, the info panel will reveal an "Observed" checkbox. If you select it, the day number will appear in red for that date to match the weekend style.

I would like to be able to highlight the day number of subscribed
Holidays. A checkbox for this in the info panel (e.g. next to the
"Holiday calender" checkbox) for adding color to the day number would

Steve,
Just to clarify. Right now the preference to "Display times in month view" has a double meaning -- it shows start times for events and also shows the To Do status as a bullet or checkmark. Are you requesting that we offer separate preferences for each, like this?

Sas,
When you complete a To Do, it puts the completed To Do on the current date. So, if you've selected a To Do on March 31 and mark it as completed on January 7th, the To Do will be marked as completed and placed on January 7th.

First post to this group, and before I say anything else, a most
grateful hurrah to the developers for building on the NUD legacy. I
was getting pretty frantic after the nighthawk disaster and was
fortunate indeed, to discover BusyCal.
So, for my first request, when choosing "Display times in month view"

Completed To Do not being displayed despite preference

I have my To Do preferences set to show completed To Dos in both
calendar and To Do list.
I have a To Do with a Due Date of 31 March 2010. As it's already been
completed, I clicked the completed tick box in the To Do list, at
which point the To Do disappeared from both the list and the calendar,
despite my preferences setting.

The options available in the Custom pop-up are pretty powerful!
I do think that the "L" is not very intuitive, though, John? Would be
nice to have "day" added to the day drop-down so that one could say
"last"+"day" as in the iCal pop-up.
Really happy with all of the power of BusyCal! ;-)

It sounds like your preferences may be corrupted. You can reset your default preferences, as follows:
1. Quit BusyCal.
2. Launch Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities), paste the following text and press return.
defaults delete com.busymac.busycal
3. Quit Terminal.
4. Launch BusyCal.

Info Panel & To Do list disappeared

Hi,
For some reason, the side panel that contains the Info Panel and To Do
List won't appear. I've tried the buttons at the bottom of the
screen, the View menu items and nothing. I've closed and restarted
the application too.
Any ideas? I'm running version 1.1.1
